| Our residents come from all parts of the country and have many interests and talents. While many are retired owners, we also have singles and couples as well as some families with toddlers through high school and college age children. Because of the diverse nature of the community, neighbors are friendly, helpful and courteous, and the area remains quiet and serene. |
| I'm tired of doing yard work! I want time to enjoy life! |
| Many of our residents feel the same way! You'll find homes that take advantage of natural ground cover which requires very little maintenance and fits in perfectly with the wooded setting of the community. Other folks enjoy gardening and you'll find several homes surrounded by flowering plants and evergreens. Of course, condo living offers all the benefits of having your own home without yard and exterior maintenance. |
| The kids are all gone and we're not sure we want a large home. |

| We love the idea of a secluded, forested setting, but how far must I travel to see a doctor? |
| Nearly all medical specialties are available less than 15 minutes away in Seneca or Clemson, SC. Oconee Memorial Hospital is approximately a 15 minute drive. |
| What about shopping, restaurants and theaters? Will I be starved for cultural or sports activities activities? |
|
A short trip of 6 to 9 miles will put you in the Clemson, Seneca and Walhalla areas, each boasting a variety of restaurants, supermarkets, movie theaters, specialty shops, as well as national chain stores.

| What about weather? Are hurricanes a threat? |
| One of the many pleasant aspects about this area is our mild four-season climate. Springtime comes early and leaves late, and our autumn is brilliant. Average summer temperature is a mild 86 degrees, while the lowest winter temperature is around 26 degrees. Snow is actually an occasional treat as opposed to a winter-long ordeal. A light dusting may occur but snow and infrequent ice is usually gone before noon. Hurricanes and flooding are virtually non-exisistant. The worst weather would be an occasional thunderstorm. |
| What about winter snow and ice? Can I play golf and tennis year 'round? |
|
As mentioned above, snow and ice are very infrequent and never long-lasting. The golf course and tennis courts are open all year long, and fishing and other boating activities continue uninterrupted throughout the year.
Keowee Key residents enjoy four distinct seasons without having to endure the extremes of a Michigan winter, or a summer in southern Arizona. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains besides Lake Keowee, the mountains offer protection from harsh winter storms, and the lake moderates temperatures during the summer. |
